Need to ship your car?

Don’t make the mistake of getting on the Internet and giving all your shipping information out to any company that has an Internet connection. Most of those companies are known as “Brokers”. The “Broker” will usually quote you an unrealistically low price, and require you to put up a substantial deposit in order to “reserve” your service dates.  After receiving your deposit, the “Broker” will then “post” your shipping information as well as the low price on the Internet, to see if a car carrier company will pick up your vehicle. If a company accepts the load, they will usually arrive at your residence, load up your vehicle, and then tell you “I can’t meet the price that you were quoted, the new price is: $_____, which is usually two to three times what the “Broker” quoted you. Now you really don’t have a choice, your vehicle is already loaded and the driver has you “over a barrel”.  If you call the “Broker” and actually have him answer the phone, he will say that the deposit is his commission, and that the “Broker” has no relationship with the car carrier service, and basically “you are on your own”.
