Short History on Columbine Moving and Storage

Columbine Moving and Storage opened its doors in Aspen, CO in 1974. In 1979 new owners Marilyn and Bill Ortmann took over for what would turn into a 32 yearlong adventure that still continues today. Marilyn and Bill’s business philosophy since the start has been to give the best customer service, with honesty, integrity, and professionalism. As the years continued and to meet a growing demand closer to Vail Colorado, Columbine Moving and Storage expanded and built a new 11,000 square foot warehouse in Eagle, CO in 1994. Columbine’s Eagle and Aspen locations has, on average, 10 full time employees who complete about 750-800 moves per year. With both warehouses in Aspen and Eagle, and as agents of Allied Van Lines, Columbine Moving and Storage meets the needs of customers across the Western Slope and throughout Colorado.
